Dear Friends of Rock Creek Inn,

Rock Creek Inn has always been more than just a place to stay. It has become a gathering place, a home away from home for many of our guests, and a place I hope can continue growing into something really special for Georgetown and our community.

I want to be completely transparent about where things stand right now, because I need your help — and I want you to know exactly what that help will do. I'm organizing the next chapter of Rock Creek Inn into three phases, so every dollar you give moves us through a clear, honest plan.

Phase 1 — Secure the Property ($15,000)

Right now, Rock Creek Inn is at real risk of foreclosure. This is the most urgent moment since I bought the Inn. The first $15,000 keeps the property safe and gives me the breathing room to take the next step. If you've been thinking about helping, this is the moment — securing the property is the door everything else walks through.

Phase 2 — Refinance the SBA Loan ($700,000)

When I purchased Rock Creek Inn, I came in with a clear business plan and a path to make this property work. The financing was a variable-rate SBA loan that started at 11% — a deliberate short-term bridge I fully intended to refinance within the first 18 months once the Inn was cash-flowing and established. I made that choice as a business owner, not someone chasing a dream without a plan. What none of us could have predicted was how sharply the economy would turn — hospitality became a harder, leaner industry to operate in, the variable rate climbed, and the refinancing window narrowed just as the Inn needed it most. Raising $700,000 lets us pay off the SBA loan and refinance at a sustainable fixed rate, so every dollar we earn from here forward stays invested in the Inn and our future — instead of draining out to interest.

Phase 3 — Build the Dream ($285,000)

With the property secured and the loan refinanced, the third phase unlocks everything I believe Rock Creek Inn can become. The next $285,000 builds out the vision — and you get to help shape it:

• ADA-accessible rooms. So more people can comfortably visit our area.
• Outdoor stage & gathering space. For music, weddings, celebrations and community events.
• Saltwater swimming pool. Open to the community during designated times.
• Main Street Commercial zoning. Adding guest rooms to make the Inn stronger and sustainable.
• Community shelter nights. Short-term refuge for neighbors who unexpectedly need somewhere safe to stay.

I'm offering special Rock Creek Inn Supporter Stay certificates for this campaign. The more nights you purchase, the better the value. Use your stay yourself, give it as a gift, or save it for a future trip to Georgetown. And if at some point you decide you won't be able to use your certificate, you can contact us to request a refund — or, if you'd prefer, gift the value back to Rock Creek Inn to help with future improvements. You can also make a Support Contribution of any amount, with no stay attached, if that feels right to you.
